It is honestly shocking how normalized teen drug use is. Students do not realize the full consequences of their actions until it becomes irreversible and social media is partly to blame for spreading so many negative messages into the minds of these kids. I just hope the people affected will seek help before it is too late.

Although I have never been personally affected by drug use, I am reminded of its consequences when I see kids shaking their hands and getting jittery because they did not get their dose of nicotine. it must be a truly scary experience to feel so dependent on a substance.

My family recently celebrated my dad's fifteenth year of sobriety. It was a difficult journey, but he says it is completely worth it. To those reading this post and also struggling, you can do anything you put your mind to. I believe in you!
